Open Water Diver Class:
This is a two-part class:


             Part one:  Classroom session and the pool sessions.

          Classroom: At the time you sign up for this class you will purchase the two required workbooks for this class. You will then at your leisure and at home, study the workbooks and answer all the questions at the end of each chapter. Once that is done we will schedule a classroom session to go over the workbook and questions. While at the classroom session I will show you the Scuba gear and show you how to assemble it. The classroom session will take about 5 hours      

        Pool sessions
:
Once the classroom is completed we will then proceed to the pool training. Pool training consists of three** - 3 to 4 hours sessions. While in the pool I will teach all the required skills for you to become a Certified diver. The pool sessions will normally be on Saturday afternoons and Sunday mornings. For the pool sessions all you will need is transportation to the pool, bathing suit, Mask & Snorkel***. We provide all the other gear needed to perform the required skills.

** For the pool session there is a min of three students required with a max of six students.

*** Any good quality Mask & Snorkel will be OK for the pool session, however if you need to purchase them we have packages as low as $59.00.


        Part one cost:

$125.00 for classroom and pool sessions.
$38.00 for Scuba Manual and answer sheets.
$18.00 for Scuba training log book.
$181.00 plus state tax.
 
 

Once the classroom and pool sessions are completed I will issue you Referral Papers, which shows that you have completed this part and are now ready to due the actual 4 required Open Water Dives. You than can do the Open water dives with us when your ready or you can go anywhere in the world to do your checkout dives. There is a time limit on the referral papers of 6 months.

Part two: Checkout dives,

If you choose to do your checkout dives with Sea Level Scuba we will be glad to schedule your dives as soon as you would like. You will be required to do four checkout dives. There are two very nice local quarries within 30 Min's of the dive shop. We normally like to perform two dives at each quarry so you get a difference view of what diving is available locally for you. For the checkout dives you will need transportation to the quarry, Quarry entry fees, bathing suit, Mask, Fins, Booties, Snorkel & Gloves****. We provide all the other gear needed to perform the four checkout dives. You will be responsible to pickup the gear we provide at the dive shop before the dives and return it clean and dry after your dives. The dives can be done any day of the week you prefer as long as it is done during daylight hours. The four dives are done over two days.
 
 

****For your checkout dives in addition to your mask and snorkel you will need Fins, Booties and Gloves. Booties because there is stones and sharp objects on the ground that you will be walking on with about 60# on your back, also the water temperature will be less then 70 degrees. Gloves because there is very sharp items in the quarry's.  We have these items for very reasonable prices. 
      
        Part two costs:

There is difference pricing based on number of students:
$200.00 for one student only doing OWD checkout dives.
$150.00 each for two or three students doing OWD checkout dives.
$135.00 each for four or five students doing OWD checkout dives.
Five is max students I will do at one time.
