This trip is now full: I have two divers on a waiting list.
I have been asked by (Rick Reichenbacher) a dive friend of mine who captains and crews on the John Jack http://captainzero.com/home.html, a dive boat based out of the New York / New Jersey area. Rick asked me if I would be interested in being part of a Salvage Trip. We would be Salvaging the wreck of the S S Mohawk. http://www.aquaexplorers.com/mowhawk.htm. I have accepted his invitation and will be make a trip to the east coast to work on this salvage operation. Rick said that if I knew someone qualified and was willing to dive on a working salvage operation they would also be welcome to join the operation. You will need to talk to me about if your qualified. I'm looking for one diver to share the driving and driving costs.
Here is some more information:
1) Trip cost will be $375.00 for three days of working dives plus splitting the cost for the gasoline cost for the air compressor.
2) $125.00 holds your spot, $125.00 due March 1st and $125.00 due on May 1st. Crew tips are on your own and compressor gasoline costs will be split at end of trip. Please note if you commit and you cannot go your money still goes.
3) There will only be eight divers total.
4) Dredging will be done during the day and the boat will return to port Manasquan Inlet NJ every evening. We may stay out one night for a night dive or for hunting bugs.
5) Everyone will have his or her own bunk on board the John Jack; bring all your own sleeping gear. There are restroom facilities at the marina open to the boats.
6) All divers are to provide ALL their own dive gear and air fills.
7) This is a working dive trip, there will be no hand holding.
8) All items recovered will be split equal among all divers and the dredge operators on the boat. I have more info on how this will be done just ask me.
