Sea Level Scuba

             The following classes are being offered in the month of January for a special price. You must sign up for the class you choose in January, pay the discounted class cost and the workbook cost. The class can be taken any time during 2012, but must be take with at lease one other student (no one on one instruction).

              My unique way of teaching is small class sizes with lots of personal attention. Most of my classes are two students but the max I will have on any one dive will be four students. If you want to really learn a specialty class this is your opportunity to learn it in a small class setting with lots of personal attention at a reduced cost. I recommend you compare what I’m offering with other dive shops in the area. Be persistent and ask them exactly what you will be getting then compare it to what I’m offering.

Deep Diver Specialty:

              I offer two Deep Diver Specialty classes:

Deep Diver Specialty option #1 (equal to PADI/SSI)

              SDI’s Deep Diver course is a must for any diver wishing to explore a little more and will teach you the risks and benefits of deep diving. Many interesting sights lie just beyond 60ft such as beautiful wall dives, shipwrecks, and critters that don’t come into the shallows. During the course, I will take you on two dives at Gilboa Quarry and covers skills like:

• Proper descents.
• Air Management.
• Effects of Nitrogen Narcosis.
• Dive planning.

These two dives will be at depths not to exceed 100ffw except for Jr. divers whose max depth cannot exceed 70ffw.

Deep Diver Specialty option #2 (for those who really want to make actual dives to130fsw).

The standard class above is equal to all other certifying agency and includes two dives. Some instructors actually teach this class at White Star quarry to a depth of about 75fsw.

However you can opt to take a real Deep Diver Class, which includes 4 dives to the depth of 130ffw. You will be taught how to figure air consumption, time available to you with the exact air in your cylinder at the exact depth you are diving, rule of thirds (how and why you use it). As well as other gas management skills. This is the class you should take if you really want to learn how to plan and make proper deep dives. This class will prep you for any tech class you may wish to pursue in the future.

To qualify for the deep Diver Specialty:

You must be OWD certified, be 18 years of age.

Students under 18 must have parental consent.

You must be equipped with a dive computer.

Option #1 only for Students 10 to 14 as you cannot exceed 70ffw depths.

The January Deep Diver Specialty cost option #1:

$157.50 class cost ($175.00 normally)

$31.50 workbook cost ($35.00 normally).

This includes classroom, 2 training dives and C-card upon successfully completion of the class.  

The January Deep Diver Specialty cost option #2:

$202.50 class cost ($225.00 normally)

$31.50 workbook cost ($35.00 normally).

This includes classroom, 4 training dives and C-card upon successfully completion of the class.

Any student who signs up for this class will also get a 10% discount on any gear he or she purchases that is needed for this class. Gear does not need to be purchased until you start the class.
